Dining at Patois Restaurant

In June I went with my family to Patois, a restaurant located where Nardo’s used to be. When I arrived I immediately recognized the corner. There were a lot more windows and a new entrance. Anyway, we enjoyed the cuisine we ordered. Upon leaving I noted the sign that included a fork with the words “weapon of choice.”

Checking Out Wolfe's Restaurant

Back in January I joined my family for dinner at Wolfe's Restaurant located downtown at the New Orleans Marriot at the Convention Center. The restaurant is at the back of the lobby entrance from Convention Center Boulevard. The dim lighting made it harder to take photos, but the atmosphere is apparent. We had fun looking through the menu and trying to decide what to order. We were pleased with the menu items we ordered.

Dixie Trestle Fest Art Market

On Saturday, July 11th, Dixie Art Supplies held its "Trestle Fest Art Market." I went to see which artists were participating. There was a steady trickle of visitors while I was there.

Lightning recently hit this pine tree. The bark went flying all over the place. You can see the exposed area runs top to bottom.

Handmade Paper from the Workshop

Here are the handmade pieces of paper I made during the Papermaking workshop. I added various materials to the pulp on my screen. These works are roughly 9" x 12".
