On the night of Saturday, February 26, 2011, the Krewe of Caesar rolled in Metairie, LA. It's theme was "When I Grow Up." Floats depicted various aspirations kids might have, including the real and the imaginary. The parade arrived late on Bonnabel Boulevard.
Next up was the Caesar with his plumes on his colorful float. He was followed by his plumed queen. The maids followed with their color feathered headpieces.
The title float has a large Caesar on the front. It was followed by group dressed as Star Wars characters. There was even Boba Fett. The Hydra triple float, with many heads, carefully made a wide turn before passing us.
The Hydra passed before the Circus float arrived. Soon a giant astronaut drove by with a purple background. A large scales of justice included riders with powdered judge wigs.
The mascot for The New Orleans Hornets was up front on The Hornets float. And right behind it was a New Orleans Saints float. Continuing with particularly New Orleans' occupations was a float brimming with chefs.
Bob the Builder adorned the front of a float filled with construction workers. The Navy band naturally arrived on a boat. Then came a float of rock stars.
