The Reception

As 2 p.m. rolled around, a stream of guests began to visit the gallery. The flow of guests remained steady for the next two hours. All the artists featured in the show were given buttons to aid meeting and greeting.

The Refreshment Table

We were asked to arrive sometime after 1 p.m. – when the building opens. By the time I got there the tables were arranged and ready to go. There was a vast array of cookies on various plates. A punch bowl sat with a bouquet of flowers in vase. Here’s the refreshment table before the crowd arrived.

2 Each: A Group Art Show

Caroline Goodman organized this small group show of Louisiana artists called “2 Each.” She included pairs of artists in the following genres: abstractors, letterers, , landscapers and naturalists – hence the title of the show. The exhibit is up through August 15, 2009. Going around the room clockwise, here are the artworks by each artist that participated in the show.

By 2 p.m. we finished hanging the show. Here are some overall pics of the show in the gallery space.

Hanging Art at the Louisiana State Archives

On August 3rd, I drove to Baton Rouge to deliver my art for a small group show at the Louisiana State Archives. The building's gallery space is accessible from the front lobby. Caroline Goodman, who organized the show, directed the group of us as the show was hung. Here are photos of the discussion sessions we had along the way.
