Whim House and Final Photos

Walking around the Whim House I took a few more shots. Then I panned the front of lawn of Longue Vue. And so I concluded my visit to Longue Vue House and Gardens.

Right from the Forecourt

Back at the Forecourt I took a right this time. The Whim House is to the right. The Yellow Garden and The Spanish Court are visible from this area. There’s a fountain with water flowing clockwise.

Exiting The Discovery Garden

Here they are, the last of The Discovery Garden photos. There’s a greenhouse and a water fountain in the shade. The exit for the garden put me back where I started at the Entrance Court. Ah, but there’s one more area I haven’t covered.

My Journey Continues

Just like the other gardens at Longue Vue, there were numerous plants to take in all at once. Since this is an educational garden, many of the plants were labeled. I meandered around the different corners of the space.

Exploring The Discovery Garden

From The Secret Garden I crossed to the other side of the sundial. I meandered around the rest of The Discovery Garden. Soon I found myself in front of a scarecrow and a giant
watering can.

The Secret Garden

Turning a hard left from the bamboo tunnel, I noticed a secluded area appropriately titled The Secret Garden. I walked through the gated entrance. Inside there were plants in shaded areas that were labeled for educational purposes.

Sundial

Emerging from a bamboo tunnel, I found myself walking across a sundial. I took a glance around The Discovery Garden and thought about where I wanted to go first. Here are some photos of the sundial.
