New Orelans Art Association Tent

This time I hung my art on the front right side of the screens of the New Orleans Art Association tent. Quite a few people stopped by the tent to look at our art. I was hoping some would come back to buy, but, well, they didn’t. Anyway it was a pleasant day and I did run into a number of folks I know. A couple of Mardi Gras Indians passed near us with band, but they turned before I could get a photo.

January Art Market

Yesterday was my second try at the New Orleans Art Market. Again I showed with three other artists in the New Orleans Art Association tent. Whereas I didn’t sell anything, there were a lot of people attending show. Although the day started off cold, it warmed up by midday making it very pleasant. The sun was out and the sky was a pretty blue. Fortunately we had a pleasant shady spot.

Zé daLuz

Near Gerry, was another artist I know, Zé daLuz. She spins her yarns as well as knits hats and scarves. Here are some photos of her wares.

Gerry Claude

Gerry Claude had her own tent closer to the Palmer Park arches. She had me sit with her art briefly while she went to buy some lunch. Her favorite medium is pen and ink.

The Silent Knight

We were paid a visit by the Silent Knight and his entourage. I was presented with a plastic sword.

Christmas Art Market

Just before Christmas, I participated in my first Art Market of New Orleans. Previously I had just visited. As a way of testing the waters for my dot art, I went in with three other artists under the New Orleans Art Association tent. Being with a group appealed to me more than having a whole tent to myself. We could take turns watching each other's art when we needed to go get food or use the port-o-let. The tent is on a corner of the park that makes for easy access. It is also close to the port-o-lets.
