Parting Shots

As I made my way back to my car, I took some more photos. Crowds were thick around a couple stages where bands that were still performing. I passed people still arriving as I walked a few more blocks.

Back to Julia Street

When I returned to Julia Street, the crowd filled the street and sidewalks. I had to wind my way through a sea of white linen. Here are some photos of folks continuing to visit the galleries. Vendors were still buys serving food and drink.

After Party at the CAC

After visiting the different galleries, a number of folks make their way to an “After Party” at the Contemporary Arts Center.” Here are some shots from the front of the building. By this time the line was longer.

The Ogden

On a lower floor of The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, artist Marcus Brown and musician Nathan Weidenhaft collaborated on a painting that involved music. On the fifth floor was a new exhibit by artist Bo Bartlett. It featured large realistic figure paintings. I snapped some photos from the terrace that provided a nice panoramic view of the city and the Crescent City Connection. See my blog pic journal for those photos.

A Few More Galleries on Julia Street

By this point I had visited the majority of the Julia Street art galleries. Along the way I picked up souvenirs. I even tried to open up a treasure chest, but the key I was given did not work. Soon I was walking down Camp Street to The Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

Zigzagging on Julia Street

The further I went, the more crowded Julia Street got. I travelled from gallery to gallery as I zigzagged back and forth across. Along the way I ran into friends and relatives. There were several people had not seen in a number of years. It was good to catch up.
