Several maids with large plumed head dresses passed by me. The Zephyrs team mascots Boudreaux and Clotilde, had their own float. A stepper group performed as it passed.
The floats in this parade were painted with rich colors. They were well illuminated too. I was so busy shooting photos I didn't worry about catching beads.
There were some gaps in the parade. At the end, however, folks were not quite sure since the ending didn't seem like the end. Once folks started leaving I decided to leave too.
The Krewe of Bacchus parade was already by the time I made it down the parade route. Andy Garcia was already in front of me before I figured out how I was going to photograph the floats. The chairs made getting closer a difficult matter.
Photographing moving floats was much harder from a distance. A flash would have just illuminated the people in front of me. The floats continued to feature World War II topics.
By this point I was bored. Not being able to get close without navigating all the gridlocked chairs took its toll. The parade wasn't through and Endymion followed. I decided to go inside instead.
