Luckily I was able to catch some animals out and about. Others preferred to stay hidden in the shade.



A baby leopard peaks out from a high spot. It was recently born.

Elephant Plaza

Here's a fountain with elephant sculptures in the middle of Elephant Plaza. The photos below follow the journey into the zoo and the promenade to the plaza.

John J. Audubon

A sculpture of John J. Audubon stands in front of the Audubon Zoo. Below are photos of the drive from Magazine Street to the parking areas in front of the zoo.

Audubon Zoo

Towards the back of Audubon Park is Audubon Zoo which is bound by the river and Magazine Street. Here's the main entrance to the park. To either side are lion sculptures. Two lion cub sculptures play to the side of the Audubon Park sign.

New Beginnings Art Gallery introduced its newest artist, Rico Robicheaux, at a reception last Friday night. The event coincided with the weekly "Music in the Park" in Rivertown.
