Art Market in Abita Springs

Here are pics of my A-Frame boards that I placed near the driveway at the Berkley Gallery & Studio. I didn't sell anything, but folks did stop by and purchase other items from the sale. I had a pleasant afternoon visiting with the other artists.

Inside the Gallery & Studio

Here some shots of the inside of the gallery and studio. There's an office in the back. Then there's a kitchen in the middle. And the front room is the art gallery. Classes were held in the front room too.

Berkeley Gallery & Studio

On December 14, I was invited to participate in an art market on the grounds of the Berkley Gallery & Studio in Abita Springs, LA. When I arrived I soon learned that the gallery was closing and that some of the artists were also having a rummage sale. Not as many artists showed up as anticipated. Here are some shots of the exterior of the gallery.

Friday night was a reception at New Beginnings Art Gallery. The gallery is located on Jefferson Highway just a couple of blocks away from Williams Boulevard. On the right side of the gallery my art hangs. I took a few shots between groups of folks came through that night. It was mostly a trickle.

This is the work of artist and gallery owner Christina Coleman. Her work hangs on the left side of the gallery. She is happiest working with bright expressive colors.

New Orleans Fiber Artists Inaugural Show Opening Reception on Dirty Linen Night

The New Orleans Fiber Artists (NOFA) is a recently formed organization consisting of artists who work in array of fiber art media. This is NOFA’s very first show. Dutch Alley Artist’s Co-Op and its twenty-two artists provided space for the show and invited NOFA to participate in celebrating the French Quarter art galleries' "Dirty Linen Night." The co-op is located in Dutch Alley where Dumaine Street meets Decatur Street at the Mississippi River in the Historic French Market. So now here are the works of the NOFA artists . . .
