West Bank Art Guild Members Receive Their Ribbons and Prize Money

On the night of the Opening Reception, the winners, of the West Bank Art Guild Art Show, were given their ribbons and prize money. Here are a few photographs of the winners accepting their winnings. There was a nice turnout of members and their guests. It was a fun gathering.

Art Show Opening Reception

After an art show goes up at the Crescent City Brewhouse there is usually an opening reception. On this occasion the chef served chicken, catfish, pasta, salad and po-boys. The West Bank Art Guild artists enjoyed tasting everything.

Upstairs at the Brewhouse

Before going visiting the artist reception upstairs, I took these other shots on the second floor. Notice the different Crescent City Brewhouse items in the case.

Up the Brewhouse Stairs

Here are some shots from the first floor followed by a trip up the staircase. Along the way there are explanatory signs and models showing how beer is made at the Brewhouse. It is a bit of a climb.

Assortment of Ties at Head to Toe

Everyone always asks me where I purchase my ties. Well, here’s the little shop in the French Quarter I frequent. It’s called Head to Toe. Years ago I had my art in a co-op art gallery on Royal Street. I asked a friend for a suggestion of a place to find ties. She sent me over to this shop. The ties range from the very conservative to the very obnoxious. I stick to the prettier ones.

Head to Toe Front to Back

Of course there are many other accessories to be found at Head to Toe. It takes a bit of time to view all the items from floor to ceiling.
