Adam Cvijanovic

Adam Cvijanovic’s mural, "The Bayou," graces the walls of four rooms upstairs at Tekrema Center for Art and Culture which is located on Burgundy street in the Lower Ninth Ward. The images are rich and detail. I really liked the feel of having all the walls filled with the bayou imagery. The murals had a peaceful effect on me.

  1. I saw a small portion of this mural in its early stages of painting in Adam's studio in NYC, with just some mangroves, and I'm thrilled to see that it has evolved into such a dynamic work that captures the beauty of the solitude of the bayou, in its multiple perspectives!

His murals were my favorite part of the exhibition. Thank you for speaking up.
