A group of turtles were resting on a toppled tree limb in the lagoon.
As I approached several of them dove into the water. Their hearing must be pretty good.
One of my favorite moments this summer was surprising a group of turtles sunning themselves on a log in a nearby lake. They must've not noticed me, because they just kept right on working on their tan.
