ARTinA Mask Decorating Workshop

With Mardi Gras coming up, ARTinA (Art in Algiers) decided to have a hands-on mask-decorating workshop. Each artist was given a ceramic-bisque-fired-mask to decorate. The artists each brought materials to share. Armed glue, jewelry-glue and a hot glue gun, the artists dove in. Scroll down to see the results.

The Finished Masks

This is what we were able to do in a half hour. The artist hold up their masks.

This is how my mask turned out. I used phosphorous acrylic paint, mica dust, small gold beads, sparkly stars and some unusual yarn.
