Back to the Front Driveway

Outside the Smithy I continued to find more sculptures. I took one last shot of the the museum from the backyard. Eventually I was back to the front driveway.

The Smithy

Having walked around the yard I figured I needed to visit inside The Smithy. Here are some shots of the machinery inside. A cat was sleeping in the window.

Metal Garden

This part of the yard had sculptures arranged like they were plants growing in garden beds. They were lined in rows on both sides of a walkway. Some were curlier than others.

Wandering Around the Yard

Leaving the rose garden area, I wandered around the yard to look at other sculptures. I came across a familiar fence cast, a corn row fence. Except in this case it was in painted in full color instead of all black. Some of the last ones are my favorites.

Rose Garden and Fountain

Here’s one more shot of the Pavilion before moving on to two rose garden areas with a fountain sandwiched in between. The head on top amused me.

Scattered Sculptures

Looking down from the railing there is an abstract sculpture of figure. I then took a walk around the yard to take shots of other sculptures. Again some are labeled and some are not.

Mississippi River View

Standing at the railing I took some shots of tugboats and barges on the Mississippi River. You’ll notice the river is a ways down from the bluff. It’s a nice spot for a view.
