Glinda Schafer's Pastel Workshop

Tonight ARTinA (Art in Algiers) had a hands-on pastel workshop following a business meeting. Member Glinda Schafer briefly discussed technical concerns of pastels and papers as she passed around samples for members to try out. She then encouraged participants to render a still life she set up in front.

Still Life

Here is the piece I completed during the workshop. Below it is a photo of the still life we all worked from. We used soft, medium and hard pastels.

















Naturally we also had some refreshments too!

Mt. Olivet Church and Crumley Hall
