Lastly, here are photos of West Bank Art Guild artists who participated in the show. They were painting on the patio near Parrot Pete’s. It was beautiful that day to be outside. I had a jacket, but it was too hot to wear. The wind blew things around at times.

Out on the Patio

Out in the middle of the patio the West Bank Art Guild hung art on screens. Parrot Pete’s provided a sign calling the art show “Artist Showcase.” The artists scattered across the patio with their painting easels. Here are my dot paintings on one panel of the screens.

It happened that the owner of a place called Parrot Pete’s invited the West Bank Art Guild to come show and paint on the adjacent patio. Here are some photos inside Parrot Pete’s.

Sculptures at Fountain Park

Scattered around the buildings and patios are sculptures of animals and people. Below are a few examples. Notice there are two sculptures of dogs and shoes.

Fountain Park

Over twenty years ago I first drove to a friend’s apartment on Manhattan Boulevard in Harvey, Louisiana. It’s located on
the Westbank of the Mississippi River. During those years I’ve watched more and more stores go up along the boulevard.
A newer addition to this busy hub is a shopping development known as Fountain Park. Back in November I had a chance to visit.
