Krewe of Rex on Mardi Gras Day!

Well, it’s been some time since I went to Mardi Gras in Uptown New Orleans. I usually have stayed in Metairie where I don’t have to be anywhere until noon. The tailgating on the median (neutral ground for locals) was a new one on me. Anyway, I enjoyed being with friends at a condo on St. Charles Avenue. It was very convenient home base on the parade route. One of the oldest New Orleans parades, Rex, was the first parade to pass by us. Two truck float parades followed it.
















Lieutenants
