City Park Wisner Entrance

A few months ago I decided to explore an area known as Big Lake in City Park, located in Mid City New Orleans. The part of the park was developed to celebrate the spirit of the New Orleans recovery following the devastation by Hurricane Katrina and the flood that followed. There is a trail known as the Zemurray Trail and a meadow known as the John S. McIllhenny Meadow. A plaque describes the dedication that was made in October 2009. But first I start this journey at the Wisner Avenue entrance.
