The St. Benard Art Guild hosts an Open Art Show in the summer. Like the Fall Members Show, the categories are the same: Under Glass, Not Under Glass, Photography and 3-D. Also like the Fall Members Show there are Specialty Theme Plaques. Here are some photos from the show held

Afternoon Reception

Besides announcing the winners from the show, the past presidents were recognized for all they’ve done for the St. Bernard Art Guild. Below is the award given to the winner of the piece judged “Best of Show.” I managed to win an Honorable Mention in the Under Glass Category and a Specialty Plaque for Best Abstact.

St. Bernard Art Guild Members Show

St. Bernard Art Guild held its Fall Members Show at the St. Bernard Government Complex on Sunday, November 30, 2008. Only recently has this building been open. This show is the guild’s first one at the complex since Hurricane Katrina flooded this part of the metropolitan area. As you can see, a cake was made to celebrate the guild’s return to the complex as well as the guild's 40th anniversary. There were also an assortment of refreshments.

These two paintings were rescued and restored following the flood. They again hang proudly in the chamber.
