Eventually I made full circle and started back through the wetlands. Before long I found myself back on the path that parallels the Mississippi River. This time I went left to the full end of the path. There was a circle with benches.
The lake was shallow at this end. This bridge wasn’t quite as long as the first one. I became enamored of the tall thin trees on that side of the lake.
After shooting a number of photos, I continued on my journey around the far side of the lake. The trail turned at times. Eventually I reached the second bridge on the lake.
After traveling the trail a bit more, I soon came to a fork in the road. The sign showed the circular path that crosses and encircles the lake. I went right and soon found myself on a bridge over a lake.
