A Restaurant with History

There were memorabilia items on the wall as well as other little knick-knacks that gave the restaurant personality. I stuck to food basics when I ordered. By the time I left, the place was very busy. My timing was perfect.

Blue and White Restaurant

Having finished touring the river park, I asked the woman at
the ticket counter to suggest a place to eat that was unique to the area. She directed me to a place in Tunica, the Blue and White Restaurant. I had no trouble finding it. It had that diner feel to it.

Rockers

Back at the Museum, I went out on the porch with the rocking chairs. There was a man relaxing in a rocker. It looked like a nice place to view the Mississippi river while enjoying sitting in a rocking chair.

Overlooks

All along the walk there were different overlook places for viewing the Mississippi River. The sun was going down quickly by this point. I hurried to get some final shots.

Riverwalk

Having finished the nature trail, I doubled back to the Terrace Garden. This time I took the riverwalk along the Mississippi River. The view was so serene. This section of the Mississippi River is so different from other ones I’ve seen.

Trail End Circle

Eventually I made full circle and started back through the wetlands. Before long I found myself back on the path that parallels the Mississippi River. This time I went left to the full end of the path. There was a circle with benches.

Continuing Around the Lake

The lake was shallow at this end. This bridge wasn’t quite as long as the first one. I became enamored of the tall thin trees on that side of the lake.

Crossing the Lake

After shooting a number of photos, I continued on my journey around the far side of the lake. The trail turned at times. Eventually I reached the second bridge on the lake.
