When I visited the Animals of the Night section of the zoo there were signs forbidding use of a camera flash. I set the camera for low light, but these are the only three pics that worked. The rest are just black with indistinguishable details.
Again Ricky A. Lenart has put together a Christmas display at his house. Of course he had some help from some elves. You see, in addition to making his theme Christmas at the Big Top, he has opened his house to the Krewe of Armeinius for an open house fundraiser. This weekend is the big event with a Friday night party and home tours on Saturday and Sunday. Did I mention that Ricky has a collection of 8,000 plus teddy bears? Ah, no wonder I used “Beary Christmas.” Here’s a sneak preview of the outside during daylight.
A walk around the side of the house includes even more bears. There's even one installed permanently.
This concrete bear is dedicated to two of Ricky's friends who lost their homes in the flood that followed Katrina. They stayed with him following the storm.
These shots were taken while driving Saturday night. Just thought I'd see what the camera could do. Obviously it was raining. It was also cold and misty. These photos show you what inspired some paintings some years back.
