Krewe of Bacchus on St. Charles Avenue

On Sunday, February 3, 2008, the super krewe Bacchus rolled through Uptown New Orleans. The theme celebrated the fortieth anniversary of the organization. Beginning with the sixties the, the floats include characters, fashion and music from the different decades on and up to the present. Hulk Hogan reigned as King of Bacchus. The beginning of the parade included police on horseback and a float, with alligator, honoring the former Sheriff of Jefferson Parish, Harry Lee. He died last October.
