Bronze Babe

This is the pathway to Brooks Museum. There's a bird bath with a bronze sculpture of a baby. Gazing downward, the babe sits in the middle.

Udine in The Rose Parterre

A cast concrete sculpture named “Udine” is set in a lily pond. This piece was made by Rose Marie Huth. To either side of the pond are modern roses that make up The Rose Parterre. See more of the water lilies on my blog, pic folio.

Sundial

Walking to the left from the entrance is The Conservatory of the Two Sisters. About halfway there is a sundial created by Enrique Alférez. It is cast concrete and bronze.

The Flute Player

At the center of the garden is another Enrique Alférez bronze sculpture called “The Flute Player.” It is placed in the middle of fountain under an oak tree. It faces a building named The Pavilion of Two Sisters. Special events are regularly held there.
It is named for Miss Ermenia Wadsworth and Mrs. Marion Wadsworth Harvey.

The Zemurray Azalea and Camellia Garden

My first journey was a walk through The Zemurray Azalea and Camellia Garden. The first point of interest was an Enrique Alférez bronze sculpture called “Woman in Huipil.” I followed the walkway to the right and continued around the outer edge of the garden. There is a stage at the other end.
